In the interest of living a less-divided creative life, I’ll now provide updates and information related to my musical work — including the GODHEADSCOPE and Cindervoice projects — via matthewsrosin.com and associated social media.
My writing and musical lives have never been alien from each other in practice, as the “Poetry/Lyrics” feature on this blog attests. Now, all of my creative output will be represented in one place.
To celebrate, here’s “Dusk On Glass,” from GODHEADSCOPE’s 2007 album, A City Out of Sight.
The On Being blog just published my guest contribution, “Letter to My Toddler.” This one means a lot to me.
If you love this piece or know someone who can benefit from reading it, please share it. You and they are not alone.
(If you’re not familiar with On Being, it’s an outstanding website and radio show/podcast on religion and spirituality, hosted by Krista Tippett — or, as On Being puts it, “a social enterprise with a radio show at its heart.” Highly recommended.)
I’m proud to announce that my novelette The Honeydrop Tree is now officially released in ebook and paperback!
The book is available in paperback from Amazon.com. The e-book is available from your favorite e-book retailer (e.g., Smashwords, Amazon/Kindle, Barnes & Noble/NOOK, Apple/iBooks, Kobo).
r.kv.r.y. quarterly, which recently published my flash fiction story “Hope,” just posted a new interview with me!
My dear writing colleague R.G. Chandler interviewed me about the story behind “Hope.”
My thanks to Editor-in-Chief Mary Akers at r.kv.r.y. quarterly — and to R.G. Chandler for a great conversation! (You can learn more about R.G. Chandler at her Facebook page.)
